Hi there! I’m so glad you found me.
I’ve written a book about a girl with ADHD. While I don’t have ADHD, I have a daughter who does. When she was growing up, I was her biggest advocate.
In case you’re wondering, my last name sounds just like read, as in read a book. Pretty perfect since I absolutely love to read.
I’ve worked as a piano teacher, camp counsellor, waitress, math tutor and chartered accountant. I’ve also worked with lots of non-profits and charities like churches, schools, and organizations that provide health care and social services. While I've only been writing for the past several years, I've always been a storyteller.
I grew up in Kitchener, Ontario but have lived in and around Vancouver for a very long time. Right now, I live in a concrete bunker by the sea with my husband and Labrador retriever and our two grown children live nearby.

"An entertaining read for all kids. Children living with ADHD will immediately bond with this delightful heroine, but all children will be able to relate to Queenie’s struggle to fit in, find friends, and be accepted for who she is."
—Heidi Bernhardt, founder of the Centre for ADHD Awareness, Canada

“Compelling, relatable, and humorous, Queenie’s story is more than a mirror or window—it’s an immersive, authentic experience in technicolour ADHD thinking and actions. As determined and creative Queenie struggles to find friendship, she discovers how important it is to never stop being exactly who you are. Highly recommended.”
